Sl: Matej je sedel na klopi ob robu šolskega dvorišča in gledal proti vrhovom Julijskih Alp.
En: Matej was sitting on a bench at the edge of the school yard, looking toward the peaks of the Julian Alps.
Sl: Njegove misli so bile polne dvomov, vendar je v prsih čutil tudi drobno iskro navdušenja.
En: His thoughts were full of doubts, but he also felt a small spark of excitement in his chest.
Sl: Bližal se je čas za pohodniško pustolovščino, na katero so se pripravljali ves teden.
En: The time was approaching for the hiking adventure they had been preparing for all week.
Sl: Luka, njegov najboljši prijatelj, se mu je pridružil z energičnim korakom.
En: Luka, his best friend, joined him with an energetic step.
Sl: "Pogled na Alpe je danes čudovit, kajne?
En: "The view of the Alps is wonderful today, isn't it?"

Sl: Z Nino bova ob tebi celo pot.
En: Nina and I will be by your side the whole way."
Sl: "Na dvorišče je privihrala še Nina z zemljevidom v rokah.
En: Nina came rushing onto the yard with a map in her hands.
Sl: "Tukaj je naš načrt poti," je povedala z navdušenjem.
En: "Here's our route plan," she announced with excitement.
Sl: "Vedno sem sanjala, da bom preplezala te hribe.
En: "I've always dreamed of climbing these hills."
Sl: "Matej je zbral pogum.
En: Matej gathered his courage.

Sl: Ko so se vzpenjali po strmi poti, je Mateja začela mučiti utrujenost.
En: As they climbed the steep path, Matej began to feel the strain of fatigue.

En: Step by step, he overcame his fears.
Sl: In kmalu so se pred njimi odprli veličastni razgledi z vrha hriba.
En: And soon, magnificent views from the hilltop opened up before them.
Sl: Julijske Alpe so se bleščale v daljavi, obdajale so jih meglice in sončni žarki.
En: The Julian Alps glistened in the distance, surrounded by mist and sunlight.
Sl: Matej je globoko vdihnil svež gorski zrak in se nasmehnil.
En: Matej took a deep breath of the fresh mountain air and smiled.

En: He felt excitement and pride for having overcome his fears.
Sl: Luka ga je objel: "Poglej, uspelo ti je!
En: Luka hugged him: "Look, you made it!"

Sl: Spoznal je, da je moč v prijateljstvu in da lahko doseže vse, če le vztraja in zaupa vase ter v svoje prijatelje.
En: He realized that strength lies in friendship and that he can achieve anything if he perseveres and trusts himself and his friends.
Sl: Ni se več bal neznanega.
En: He was no longer afraid of the unknown.

En: A new world full of possibilities and adventures stood before him.
