Are you ready to breathe a sigh of relief? Hi, I’m Dr. Jodi, and on Ask Dr. Jodi, I’m here to help you feel better, really better. I bring trauma-informed mental health and relationship advice to make sure you know: your brain isn’t broken, and your feelings aren’t wrong. Whatever you’re experiencing is understandable. It’s a natural human response to living in this wild world.

Feeling stuck or overwhelmed? You’re not destined to stay that way. You can heal, and I’m here to show you how. I’ve spent the last 28 years as a psychotherapist, helping people like you navigate the complexities of relationships, emotions, and life. Together, we’ll explore topics that touch your daily life—at home, work, and school—and I’ll give you the tools to heal your past, release what no longer serves you, and set boundaries that stick.

Each week, I’ll guide you through self-discovery and healing with advice you can trust and put into action. We’ll work to shift those limiting beliefs, build self-acceptance, and uncover just how amazing you truly are. Whether it’s tackling tough relationships, managing stress, or simply figuring out how to feel better, I’ll be here to help every step of the way.

Jodi Aman is a social work doctor with 28 years of experience in clinical practice. She helps clients heal from trauma, understand the world, and reclaim self-confidence. She created C.O.M.P.A.S.S., an emotional wellness curriculum for middle and high school health classes designed to mitigate symptoms of anxiety and depression.
