About our Guests

Stefania Passera is an information designer known for simplifying contracts and legal documents. Based in Helsinki, Finland, she is the founder of Passera Design and collaborates with World Commerce & Contracting as a Contract Designer in Residence. With 15+ years of experience, Passera is considered a pioneer in the field of legal design. She holds a PhD from Aalto University and has served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Vaasa. Passera's research has been widely published, and she is a sought-after keynote speaker and lecturer on contract design and simplification. She has received awards such as the European Women of Legal Tech Award in 2020 and the World Commerce & Contracting Fellowship in 2017. Paula is a lawyer with over 20 years of industry experience, including 13 years at IBM specializing in "as a Service" transactions and leading the Cloud and SaaS legal team in Europe. In 2018, she transitioned to working on the business side and currently operates her own consultancy called PaLiDa Ltd. Paula works as a legal innovation advisor to a diverse range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to startups. She collaborates closely with Passera Designs on contract simplification and design and serves as an advisor in residence at WorldCC. Paula is recognized as a thought leader for better contracts and frequently writes articles and speaks at conferences. Her main focus is helping clients create balanced and frictionless contracts, enabling faster agreement and stronger business relationships.
