Our bodies are not designed to be in a constant state of fight or flight. And that's exactly what we're doing to ourselves. We're constantly revving ourselves up, and it's wreaking havoc on our hormonal balance, on our overall health and well-being. So it's really important for us to recognize the impact of stress and trauma on our bodies and find ways to regulate ourselves, find ways to create that co-regulation and self-regulation so that we can restore and replenish our energy reserves and bring ourselves back into that window of optimal functioning. And it's not an easy journey, but it's a journey worth taking because our health and well-being depend on it. So let's break free from the addiction to drama and trauma.
