People spend the summer in a variety of ways, from traveling, to having an internship, to living at the beach, to babysitting in a small hometown. It can be easy to compare what you're doing to what everyone else is doing, and feel like you're waisting your time, or like the place you're in is useless. But really, whatever place you're in still holds a lot of potential to help you work towards your goals. Every experience can be useful if we choose to see what we can learn from it, as opposed to why it is a waste of time. God has you in the place you're in right now for a reason, even if you aren't able to know what it is.
Set your goals with intention behind them, and act with that intention in mind. Even the smallest steps are gratifying when you know why you want what you want. The same emotions we get from accomplishing something can come from the journey we take to get there.
So use the place you're in right now to learn & grow, and know that everyone's timing is different. This is just where you're meant to be right now.
