Go a little easier on yourself

LIV
About this episode
There are 4 main ways people tend to beat themselves up: Invalidating your feelings Acknowledging what you could have done better or how you can be better (and not what you DID accomplish or what you did right) Feeling like you don’t deserve something or aren’t worthy of praise (imposter syndrome) Looks/body image What a lot of people do when they invalidate their feelings is they push them away, they ignore them -- they’re not valid so they’re not worth paying attention to. The problem with that is there IS a reason you’re feeling that way (whether it be due to the circumstances in your life or the chemicals in your brain) and even if that reason doesn’t seem valid to you, it is. Give yourself credit for everything you’re doing right and don’t let your imperfections define you, but let your accomplishments speak volumes as to who you are and how hard you’re working. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/livlikeyou/support
