26. Period Loss, Exercise, and Menstruat...

DEANNA WOLFE
About this episode

As women our bodies go through a lot! Whether its society's demands of what a postpartum body should (which often involves dieting and exercise) or engaging in risky diet habits that result in the loss of your period, we’re always being told what we should and shouldn’t do. It can be hard to ignore the noise, let alone feel brave enough to speak about what we’re going through. These topics can seem taboo when in reality they are not, and you are not alone in this battle.

In today’s episode, I talk to Lindsey Lusson, a registered dietician who is focused on helping her clients recover their period and convenience naturally. She’s on a mission to get women in touch with their bodies and find freedom in food and exercise.

During our conversation, Lindsey shares how her own experience with disordered eating influenced her decision to become a dietician, and how she uses her own experience to help others. She covers what period loss is and how she recovered her own period, why your period matters, how your postpartum body deals with your period and

  • We discuss how we got our periods back [6:35]
