Jill & Jack - S2 | E8

Julia Gaitho
About this episode

As children, we idolize our parents. We place them on pedestals of all-knowing and all-having until one day, we realize who they really are. In this episode, Jill tells us of her struggle with this newfound awareness that came all too soon for her upon discovering that her father is an alcoholic. It takes just one event to question her entire childhood interactions with a man she describes when young as jolly, totally engaged, and doting. This traumatic event is a marker that plagues into her adulthood as she struggles to love again a man who chooses the bottle over her.
