5 Things Parents & Caregivers Should Do ...

KATIE FERRARO
About this episode

#3: If you are getting ready for your baby to start solid foods but your baby just isn’t quite there yet, there are a few things parents and caregivers can do before starting baby-led weaning.

In this episode I’ll walk you through a list of things you can do to get prepared for when your baby is finally ready to take his or her first bites! You don’t need to buy a bunch of baby gear or feeding contraptions to do baby-led weaning well. But we’ll talk about how to choose a high chair and why a chair with an adjustable footrest is safest. And I share my favorite feeding gear that helps promote independent eating and keeps your baby safe during mealtime.

If it’s been awhile since you took CPR, an infant refresher CPR course will give you the skills you need in the event your baby does choke. And we’ll talk about what signs to look for that the baby is having an allergic reaction and what to do if your baby has an allergic reaction to food.

If you’re ready to raise an independent eater and prevent picky eating, then let’s get started learning about baby-led weaning together! Subscribe, rate and review the podcast here.
