5 Things Your Baby Should Be Able to Do ...

KATIE FERRARO
About this episode

#2: Are you anxious to start solid foods, but you’re not sure if your baby is ready yet? In this episode I am going to walk you through the signs of readiness to feed. I’ll tell you when to start solid foods so you’ll know if your baby is ready to begin baby-led weaning.

We’ll cover everything your baby needs to be able to do in order to be safe to start solid foods with baby-led weaning. If you have a premature baby who was born early, I’ll show you how to calculate when to start solid foods based on the baby’s adjusted age.

If you’re getting advice or pressure to start solid foods early, I talk about why it is not safe to feed babies before they are ready to start solids (...plus why it is not necessary from a nutrition standpoint). If you’re baby can do all 5 of the things I cover in this episode, then your baby is ready to start eating food and can do so safely with baby-led weaning.

If you’re ready to raise an independent eater and prevent picky eating, then let’s get started learning about baby-led weaning together! Subscribe, rate and review the podcast here.
