En: Luka stood on the edge of the vineyard, where golden-yellow vine leaves stretched all the way to the horizon.
En: It was the first day of the school trip, which was focused on ecology and agriculture.
Sl: V Slovenskih goricah, kjer so se rodili mnogi njegovi predniki, je Luka iskal nekaj več.
En: In the Slovenske gorice, where many of his ancestors were born, Luka was searching for something more.
En: He wanted to understand what it means to be part of this valley, to be part of the history and culture that has been enriched for centuries by the cultivation of wine.
Sl: Mateja in Gregor, njegovi sošolci, sta že nosila vedra in se smejala nad prvim sokom, ki je nastajal pod pritiskom trtnih grozdov.
En: Mateja and Gregor, his classmates, were already carrying buckets and laughing at the first juice being produced under the pressure of the grape clusters.
Sl: Luka pa se je odločil raziskovati.
En: But Luka decided to explore.
En: He walked between the rows of vines, sensing the plump clusters waiting to be harvested.
Sl: Zvedavo je spraševal kmete o načinih pridelave, o starih zgodbah teh krajev.
En: Curiously, he asked farmers about the methods of cultivation, about the old stories of these places.
En: “How did you start with production here?” he asked an older man with thick mustaches, who was just tending the vines.
Sl: „Tu so trte že stoletja. So kot naši otroci,“ je mož odgovoril in se nasmehnil, medtem ko je pogled usmeril k gričem.
En: “The vines have been here for centuries. They are like our children,” the man replied, smiling as he looked towards the hills.
En: Luka felt something awakening within him.
Sl: Nepojasnjena želja po povezavi z njegovo dediščino.
En: An unexplained desire to connect with his heritage.
Sl: Iskal je.
En: He searched.
Sl: Hodil naprej, dokler ni pod hribom zagledal stare vinske kleti, ki je izgledala skoraj zapuščena.
En: He walked on, until he saw an old wine cellar under the hill that looked almost abandoned.
Sl: Vstopil je.
En: He entered.
En: Inside, it was dark, but the smell of aged wood and stories was strong.
Sl: Med prahom in pajčevino je Luka odkril zbirko starih orodij in celo zaprašeno knjigo.
En: Amidst the dust and cobwebs, Luka discovered a collection of old tools and even a dusty book.
Sl: Star zapisnik družinskih zapisov, poln imen, datumov in mejnikov.
En: An old family journal full of names, dates, and milestones.
En: Whatever he looked at, every tool, every name in the book, spoke of hard times, the joy of harvests, and the...
