About this episode

Welcome to the Breaking Barriers Podcast, where we explore innovative skills training programs designed specifically for correctional facility workers. Join us as we discuss the challenges, triumphs, and strategies for building essential skills in this demanding profession. Through expert interviews, real-life stories, and actionable insights, we aim to support correctional workers in enhancing their expertise, fostering safer environments, and promoting personal growth. Whether you're a seasoned professional or new to the field, this podcast is your go-to resource for meaningful and impactful conversations.

Our work with individuals in correctional facilities, as well as those who have been recently released, has given us valuable insight into the unique challenges they face. By collaborating directly with these individuals and listening to their experiences, we have gained a deeper understanding of their needs and goals. Additionally, the input from senior-level correctional officers has been instrumental in shaping our approach. Their expertise and feedback have helped us design training programs that are practical, relevant, and effective. These programs aim to bridge gaps, build essential skills, and support both individuals in their reintegration journeys and correctional staff in fostering positive outcomes within their facilities.
