في الحلقة السادسة والأخيرة من الموسم الأول من مدونة حوار الصوتية نستضيف القيّم الفني والكاتب والباحث في الفن السوري سارية الميداني والذي حدثنا عن التنسيق الفني وآفاق العمل المتحفي في سوريا.

نبذة عن الضيف
وُلِدَ سارية في دمشق، سوريا، ودرس الفنون في جامعة القلمون. غادر سوريا عام 2014 إلى الولايات المتحدة طالباً اللجوء. يعمل حالياً كمساعد مديرة أمناء وقيّمي متحف سولومون آر. غوغنهايم في مدينة نيويورك، حيث يقوم بمهام إدارية وتنسيقية وبحثية. خارج إطار عمله في غوغنهايم، يركّز الميداني في أبحاثه على الفن السوري وفنانيه وأرشفة أعمالهم، ويرى في هذا التخصص ضرورة من أجل وضع المشاريع الفنية في سياقاتها والدعم والترويج لها. نُشرت له مواد متنوعة عبر منصات إعلامية متنوعة. مؤخراً، عمل الميداني مع الدكتورة الأمريكية آنيكا لينسن الأستاذة في جامعة بيركلي.

In the sixth and final episode of the first season of the Hiwar Podcast, we host Syrian curator, writer, and art researcher Saria AlMidani, who talks about curation and the prospects for museum work in Syria.

About the guest
Born in Damascus, Syria, Saria studied art at the University of Kalamoun. He left Syria in 2014 and sought asylum in the U.S. He is the Assistant to the Chief Curator at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, where he is responsible for various administrative and curatorial functions. Outside of his work at the Guggenheim, AlMidani’s research focuses on Syrian art and artists, which is rooted in the simple yet dire need to research, archive, contextualize, and advocate for them. He has published various materials across various media platforms. Most recently, AlMidani worked with Dr. Anneka Lenssen, at UC-Berkeley.
