Antoni Porowski on Sunday Cheat Days, th...

Dear Media
About this episode

Katie is joined by food and cooking expert Antoni Porowski, of the wildly popular Queer Eye on Netflix, and host of the new Nat Geo Series, No Taste Like Home, airing on Nat Geo Channel, Disney+ and Hulu.

Antoni and Katie discuss his Polish heritage and the influence it has had on his life and career, as well as his upbringing in both Montreal and West Virginia (Katie's home state). He remarks on how both his heritage and food-obsessed family inspired his love of cooking, and the two reflect on their love of West Virginia's famous rainbow trout, Tamarack Marketplace, and the iconic Greenbrier.

Antoni's journey to fame is fascinating -- he began his career as an actor, and worked as an assistant to Ted Allen, Chopped host and the food and wine expert on the original Queer Eye series. That job came full circle when Antoni later was cast in the updated version of the series in the same role. In Antoni’s new Nat Geo show, No Taste Like Home, he travels the world with celebrities to discover their heritage through food, uncovering the deep stories and histories behind them.

When it comes to Antoni’s food routines, he eats healthy during the week, but is famous for his Sunday cheat days. Everything from sweet and savory bagels, to Shake Shack, and prime rib at the famous Four Charles in NYC. Listen in to hear all the details!
