Dr. Anne Hussain, ND is a naturopathic doctor and author of “The Period Literacy Handbook.” Her personal journey with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and a lack of reproductive health education growing up in Karachi, Pakistan drives her passion for menstrual health education. Anne operates a hybrid practice offering a mix of virtual care to serve people across Ontario along with in-person care near Toronto that revolves around period and hormone health, especially PCOS, fertility, PMS, and endometriosis.


She is also the founder of The Period Literacy School, an online platform that offers free and low-cost programming for people with periods. She has appeared on Canadian national TV, and has collaborated and volunteered with organizations such as Naturopaths Without Borders, VegTO, The Period Purse, and Moon Time Connections. Her book, The Period Literacy Handbook: Everything you need to know about your menstrual cycles, period is available to purchase as a paperback or ebook through online retailers.
