Tammin Sursok battled eating disorders f...

About this episode

If you’re an Australian millennial woman, you know Tammin Sursok. She played Dani Sutherland in Home & Away in the early 2000’s and Jenna Marshall in Pretty Little Liars. Tammin has been in the public eye since she was a teenager. Faced with that pressure, Tammin struggled with eating disorders throughout her teen years and early 20’s.

Now Tammin has two daughters. Her experience with eating disorders informs the way she speaks to them about food and their bodies in the hope that they will never go through what she did.

In this episode Steph sits down with Tammin to learn about how eating disorders took over Tammin’s life, becoming a mum and adjusting to her postpartum body, and how she responds when one of her daughters calls herself fat.

Trigger: in this episode we discuss eating disorders. If you or someone you know needs support, you can contact the Butterfly Foundation 7 days from 8am - midnight AEST on 1800 33 4673.
