How to Get Over Narcissists, Cheating, a...

MATTHEW HUSSEY
About this episode

When you've been betrayed or hurt by someone, you can often ask yourself, "How did I miss the red flags?". And in this reaction you may end up blaming yourself. Especially if you feel like there's a recurring pattern in the people you've chosen to date so far. So what is the role of our own responsibility when we date people who hurt us? And how do we practice self-forgiveness and compassion for ourselves so we don't get caught in a trap of endlessly beating ourselves up for someone else's bad behavior? In this episode Matt, Stephen and Audrey discuss the role of self-compassion vs. accountability, dealing with betrayal, and how to move on from heartbreak the right way.
