Fighting in Front of Your Kids Is Health...

MICHELLE KENNEY, M. ED
About this episode

It's important to be mindful of how we handle disagreements in front of our kids. Engaging in arguments that involve belittlement, shaming, yelling, or even throwing things can cause anxiety and even aggression in our children. Moreover, they may mimic these behaviors in future arguments because that’s what they were modeled.

On the other hand, by demonstrating how to remain calm and composed during an argument, we can teach our kids valuable life skills. Fighting in a healthy way can teach them valuable life skills and positive conflict resolution.
