Sir David Haslam is a British medical doctor, writer and administrator. He is a Professor of General Practice with 36 years of practising experience. He has been President of the Royal College of GPs and the British Medical Association and a past Chair of NICE (The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence). Sir David is currently Chair of the Trustee Board of the cancer charity Young Lives vs Cancer’s. Over the last few decades, he has published over 2000 articles as well as 13 books in both the lay and medical press. He has been listed for the last ten years as one of the most influential people in the NHS by the Health Service Journal.
