164: Types of Yoga Asana – Part One (Hat...

Sarah Bright
About this episode

It's a listener request episode! I'm going to go over a few different types of yoga asana (poses or postures, a physical practice) that you might see on a yoga studio schedule or in the name of a YouTube video. I'll share what you can expect in the practice, some benefits of each, and who each type might be good for. Hopefully having this information will help you decide what kind of yoga class is right for you!

We'll also talk about how the broader philosophy of yoga isn't limited to just physical postures, what we think of in the West as "yoga." Instead, it is a life practice that anyone can participate in in a wide variety of ways!
