About this episode

Zack Chisholm (Ardu Recovery Center & former professional golfer) joins Casey Scott and Dr. Matt Woolley to open up about feeling shame as a child, how he used alcohol as a teenager to combat his introverted tendencies, and the events that led him to be disfellowshipped from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while on his mission.

Zack also talks about beginning to numb the pain of his departure from his mission with drugs and alcohol, how his descent into substance abuse cost him his professional golfing career, and the impact that COVID-19 had on his addiction.

We also dive into Zack's rock bottom following a New Year's party in 2021, his decision to go to Renaissance Ranch for recovery, and how he learned to let go of a lot of resentment that he had held in for so many years.
