Explorando la Rica Cultura del Café Cos...

Spanish and Go
About this episode

In this episode of Learn Spanish and Go, we interview Verónica Cubillo, who works for Mi Cafecito Coffee Tour, a project of Coopesarapiqui, a cooperative of small coffee producers in northern Costa Rica. Verónica shares the history of the cooperative and the coffee industry in Costa Rica, including how the cooperative started as a way for coffee farmers to have more opportunities and guarantees. She also explains how Mi Cafecito Coffee Tour offers visitors a unique experience, where they can learn about coffee production from seed to cup, and even try their hand at coffee picking and tasting. The tour focuses on promoting rural and community tourism, and helping families in the area by providing employment opportunities and a chance to learn about tourism. Listeners will also learn about the different characteristics of Costa Rican coffee and how it varies by region, altitude, and climate. This episode is perfect for coffee lovers and anyone interested in learning about Costa Rican culture and rural tourism.
