About this episode

Not only is sex one of the leading causes for divorce it is also one of the most painful aspects of marriage. It is one of the first things most couples seek from each other and one of the first things that they fight about.

Myths about sex

1. If you wait to have sex until marriage it will be perfect and you will have no issues– Nope

The divorce rate for single partner marriage are by far the lowest but sexual issues can still exist.

2. If you test drive a few people and find the perfect sexual chemistry, you’ll have a great sex life for the duration of your marriage – Nope

3. You have to have sex once a week or more to be considered sexually healthy – Nope

4. Men always want to have sex – Nope

5. Women never want to have sex - Nope

6. Only Men have affairs/pornography/sex addictions – Nope

Men and women are having affairs at almost equal rates

A growing number of women are pursuing pornography.

1/3 of divorce litigation involves an online affair, most affairs are preceded by a relationship with pornography.

Most affairs happen with an in-law, mutual friend, co-worker, or social media connection.

7. Having friendships with people of the opposite gender is harmless - Not always.
