Why Touch is Important & How Cove May be...

Dr. Jay Khorsandi
About this episode

Could you use a little more help with stress reduction? I know I could. And you know, I'm always on the hunt for the coolest and most impactful technology to help you stress less and feel better. In this show, I'm sharing with you a new device in the world of stress reduction and better sleep, and it's called Cove. I get a lot of products and technologies to try people send them to me, a lot of them tend to get redundant or don't deliver. But this one stood out because the more I learned about it, and what it does, the more I got intrigued, and the more impact it had on my personal well-being. Now why this one works is because the Cove works on an entirely different brain pathway and one which you may have never heard of. I know I haven't. And by the end of the show, you'll have a greater understanding and appreciation of why I like it. In this episode, I chat with the co-founder & CEO of Feel More Labs, Francois Kress. It's a VC backed health and wellness technology company headquartered in New York. They are pioneering a new category of wearable devices that train and tune the nervous system. The company launched Cove, which is a wearable with a patented technology that applies gentle vibrations behind the ears that initiate a natural biological pathway between the skin and the brain to help people sleep better and improve resilience. Just to give a little more background into Francois, his previous positions include President of Louis Vuitton and Southeast Asia, the CEO of LVMH fashion group Oceania, the president of Fendi, North America, the CEO of Bulgari, Americas, the President, and CEO of product Americas, the global CEO of The Row, global president of Stuart Weitzman, and most recently global CEO of Carolina Herrera. He has also served as the board member of Kythera Biopharmaceuticals, which is a biotech company acquired by Allergan, he was educated in science at the prestigious Ecole Polytechnique in France and holds master's degrees in both international business and civil engineering, which you will understand why that connection is there between the fashion and luxury background as well as the deep interest in science and technology.  We'll talk about his background in the luxury goods market and the mindset behind the people who both run it and consume it. We'll talk about what Cove is and how it works and why they call it a hug for your mind. We'll talk about the science behind the specific biological pathway you've never heard of, that Cove works on which makes it really different. Of course, we're going to talk about some sleep hacks because this is The Best Night Ever. We'll also talk about the challenges of launching and growing a business during the pandemic. And if you are interested in learning more about this you can visit the website www.feelcove.com and use code: drjay20 for 20% off.
