MM16 Productivity guilt and how to deal ...

ERIKA DE PELLEGRIN
About this episode

Today I wanted to go deep into something that has been personally frustrating me lately, especially being in lockdown, and something I have spoken to many of you about in my IG DMs. It’s around this idea that we feel guilt when we haven’t utilised our time to the max, or in other words been productive. In a usual routine, non lockdown, Do you ever get that feeling at the end of your day where you just haven’t been that productive? Maybe you haven’t crossed off what you wanted from your todo list, or you actually have done some stuff and feel completely deflated for not having done enough?

Well I bet if you feel that sometimes,  now during lockdown it’s probably hitting that nerve way harder in a different but somehow familiar way. One thing I’ve personally been struggling with is this idea that I have more time than ever right now, which should give me more time to slow down and relax, but I often feel the complete opposite? Join me as I explore why this is happening, productivity guilt, time anxiety and what you can do about it!
