33 I'm a New Bitch (Syd Wilder)

REMY KASSIMIR
About this episode

Trigger Warning: rape, suicide and abuse. We want you to enjoy our content, but please make sure to take care of yourself; some of the following material can be sensitive to some listeners.

We talk to Syd Wilder, comedian, insta-model and host of the “Girl Instarupted” podcast. We’re talking everything from surviving suicide to growing up at the Playboy Mansion and everything in between. Syd opens up about her sexual assault, suicide attempts and previous sexual and family relationships; as well as her experience in a psych-ward. We discuss how she has turned her darkest moments into an empowering experience rather than a spiteful situation that controls her life. She shares stories of her first marriage, what it's like dating different “types” of guys, how she contracted HPV and Cervical Cancer and has triumphed over it all and learned how to love herself along the way. We also talk BDSM and *SPOILER ALERT* we have a new ASSIGNMENT!

If you or someone you know may be struggling with suicidal thoughts, you can call the U.S. National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (8255) any time day or night, or chat online.

Crisis Text Line also provides free, 24/7, confidential support via text message to people in crisis when they dial 741741.
