Today I want to talk about a tool change that has quietly altered how I think about development: using Claude together with Blender to turn architectural drawings into 3D renderings.
A few months ago, this was a novelty. You could get a rough box with a roof, and you’d spend more time fixing it than you saved. That’s changed. Claude can now read a set of drawings, including plans, elevations, and sections, and build an accurate 3D model in Blender with minimal guidance. From that model, it can produce an entire series of renderings.
