“Why were they happier for me when I was struggling?”
Everyone loves telling you to dream bigger… until you actually fucking do it. When you’re struggling, everyone’s cheering you on. You’ve got this! You deserve it! Go for it!Then you start winning. Suddenly you’ve “changed.” You’re showing off. You’re obsessed with money. You think you’re better than everyone. Your marriage won’t last. Your face looks different. And God forbid you buy yourself a Bentley. Funny how that works.
This week on Uncut & Uncensored, Caroline is talking about something women don’t particularly like admitting: jealousy. We all feel it. Caroline included. But there’s a huge difference between looking at another woman and thinking, I want some of that for myself, and wanting to tear her down because she has it.
Because sometimes it’s not her handbag you want. It’s her financial freedom. It’s not her body. It’s her confidence.
It’s not her husband. It’s the way she feels when she’s with him. And maybe when another woman really gets under your skin, the question isn’t “What’s wrong with her?” Maybe it’s: “What does she have that I secretly want?”
This is a very unfiltered conversation about female friendship, jealousy, money, confidence, success, ageing, social media and learning to stop giving a shit about opinions from people whose lives you wouldn’t actually want.
& sometimes you don't need more advice, you need to change the room you’re in. To surround yourself with women who genuinely want to see you win, who inspire you to think bigger, and who celebrate your growth instead of asking you to make yourself smaller.
