Here's how this just happened to me and how I'll be doing this in the future.
You can literally find videos about interesting subject matter, tighten the script with your own edit, target the same keyword, and outrank the original video on YouTube and Google for that keyword.
Again, this works for both YouTube and Google and oftentimes the videos rank the next day!
