Honoring Every Phase of Womanhood EP28

Dr. Amanda Hanson
About this episode

There's no doubt that women experience so much, both physically and emotionally. From our monthly cycles to the unpredictability of menopause, it's astounding how much we endure and yet thrive through.

Have you ever wondered why it feels so hard to live under the expectations placed on us as women? The pressure to hide our natural cycles, to never show signs of aging, and to always be in service to others? If you're exhausted by that narrative, you're not alone—and I'm here to tell you there's another way.

In this episode, I'm sharing my personal experience with my period as I walk through menopause, including the raw and unfiltered truth about how intense, beautiful, and sometimes overwhelming this journey can be. This episode is an emotional tribute to our cycles, and it's also an invitation to reconnect with what it means to be unapologetically you.

In this episode, I'm talking about:

  • Women's bodies and their menstrual cycles

  • The societal pressures on women

  • My personal experience of perimenopause and menopause

  • The reality of menstrual cycles

  • How to create a cycle-aligned life

  • Viewing menopause as a rebirth

  • Rituals of a menstrual cycle

I hope my story resonates with you, wherever you are in your own journey. Listen in to hear how we, as women, can honor ourselves and rewrite the story society has handed us. You don't want to miss this.
