Your trauma is not an excuse for bad behaviour. This is not to say that your trauma isn’t valid nor painful, but rather that you should not use the hardships you’ve experienced as a justification to hurt and bring pain into other people’s lives. The key to resolving any trauma begins with awareness of how it impacts your day-to-day life which is a difficult but necessary step.
