Adeleine & The Emotionally Immature Narc...

Abuse Survivor Network
About this episode

In this episode of Narcissist Apocalypse, Adeleine shares her story of growing up with an emotionally immature narcissistic father and a codependent mother. Once Adeleine's sister was born, she felt a shift that something wasn't right, and Adeleine began to be on the receiving end of her father's rages. As Adeleine became more aware of her environment, she learned to walk on eggshells around her dad, however, as she got older, Adeleine began to speak her mind and moved into being her authentic self.

It's a story of trust, gaslighting, physical abuse, minimization, fixing, people pleasing, rage, emotionally immature parents, peacekeeping, parentification, the authentic self, being good enough, confusion, walking on eggshells, taking blame, identity, guilt, codependency, and fighting back.

*** CONTENT WARNING - We discuss physical abuse in this episode. ***
