Beth Basham
About this episode

Join us on this transformative episode of 'Beyond Intuitive Eating' as host Beth Basham welcomes pelvic health expert Brianne Grogan to explore the deep connection between healing body image concerns and engaging with the power of the pelvic floor. Through their enlightening conversation, they shed light on the cultural and historical shame associated with women’s bodies, especially the pelvic area, and offer tangible steps towards reclamation and healing. Brianne introduces listeners to the intimate practice of connecting with their pelvic region through touch, dialogue, and movement, fostering an environment of introspection and body awareness. Beth, an intuitive eating counselor and body coach, ties in the importance of somatic practices to complement the cognitive understanding in intuitive eating journeys. They discuss the challenging emotions that may arise, from resistance to numbness, and how gradual, supportive exercises can guide one through the healing process. Discover statistics on pelvic floor challenges, resources for pelvic health, and how Brianne’s personal story intertwines professionalism with human experience. As a bonus, Beth announces the reopening of her acclaimed group coaching program 'Peace of Food and Soul' designed to liberate individuals from food and body guilt. Dive into this episode for a heartfelt guide on embracing one's body, finding health and safety, and embarking on a path to reclaim femininity and intuition.
