In this episode of Narcissist Apocalypse, Paris tells her story of marrying a victim-playing abuser. At first, Paris was love-bombed in a way that set her heart on fire. It was intoxicating and overrode all her other senses. From there, her future abusive husband began to play the victim in his life and use guilt to hook Paris in for good. It was a whirlwind that was hard to break free from, and before she knew it, as soon as they were married, the abuse and devaluation began.
It's a story putdowns, doubt, humiliation, entitlement, self-centeredness, stalking, church abuse, physical abuse, sexual coercion, emotional abuse, manipulation, coercive control, gaslighting, infidelity, domestic violence, domestic abuse, narcissism, toxic relationships, self-worth, patriarchy, financial abuse, and post separation abuse.
