#300 - WOMEN WHO MAKE AN IMPACT SERIES: ...

Tarryn MacCarthy
About this episode

Dr. Tarryn MacCarthy expresses her immense gratitude as we toast to the 300th episode of the Business of Happiness podcast. Reaching this milestone is a testament to the journey together — discovering the intersections of joy, personal growth, and professional success. Today, Dr. MacCarthy kicks off "Women Who Make An Impact," an eight-part podcast series featuring conversations with nine trailblazing women whose stories resonate with courage, innovation, and the indelible mark they have left on their industries.  So, ensure you're subscribed to the Biz of Happiness podcast to join this inspiring adventure, where the pursuit of happiness and professional fulfillment are one and the same.

In this episode, Dr. MacCarthy speaks with Laura Nelson and Margy Schaller, the powerhouses behind Sober Life Rocks. Harnessing the collective strength of a community can be transformative, particularly when charting the waters of sobriety. That's the beating heart of Sober Life Rocks, a sanctuary for anyone from the sober curious to the staunchly sober, and the sober wingmen who support them. They share the pivotal event that sparked the creation of a sanctuary for those on their sober journey, regardless of the reason behind their choice. The conversation also covers how personal experiences of sobriety can influence professional growth and the importance of visibility for sober choices.

In November 2023, Laura Nelson and Margy Schaller founded Sober Life Rocks. Their mission is to normalize sober choices and create an inclusive world for those who choose not to drink or to drink less. At the heart of Sober Life Rocks thrives a vibrant community, diverse yet united in the belief that networking and professional events can be enriching and enjoyable without the focus on alcohol.

Margy and Laura have meticulously curated events and resources that reflect this ethos, aiming to ensure every member feels embraced and empowered.
