In this episode, Dr. Tarryn MacCarthy talks about how embarking on a personal development journey can often feel like an endless pursuit of betterment, with each new year bringing its own set of resolutions and goals aimed at fixing what we perceive as broken within ourselves. But what if, instead of being fixated on what needs to be healed, we shift our focus to the aspects of ourselves that are already whole and complete? Honoring our strengths is about acknowledging them and understanding how they contribute to our well-being, financial health, and the joy we experience in life. By appreciating our gifts, we empower ourselves to approach our wounded parts with love and compassion, leading to a more holistic healing process. Our journey to self-discovery is also about celebrating the parts of ourselves that are inherently complete. It's about finding the delicate balance between personal growth and nourishing our intimate bonds. As we welcome the new year, we are encouraged to do so with a heart full of gratitude for our connections and the happiness that awaits.
