Ep 04 The Effects of Eating Over Anger w...

Leslie M. Thornton
About this episode

Whether we admit it or not we go through the emotion of anger. You feel the resentment, desperation, and self-hatred; and to numb it, you eat all you want. As kids, we were taught not to be angry and we tend to cope by numbing with food. But, we should know that not addressing anger the healthy way pushes us to be emotionally overeating and bingeing on food. An outburst of anger in public is mostly looked down upon and there are repercussions for showing it. For most of us, the response is getting quiet and retreating to the most sought after refuge and that is food. For others, running or some sort of working out is the escape. That releases the emotion but that doesn’t give you the peace and takes you away from being present. And what happens is, anger runs you at that moment without never really getting deep into it. It is just buried therein the subconscious state and some other days it will haunt you and again reveals itself through overeating. You have the choice of having to live with it for the rest of your life or you face it now, unearth it, do something about it once and for all and move faster in life. There is a way out for permanent weight loss and what you need is emotional mastery and hypnosis exactly does that. It is letting you run your emotion instead of the other way around.  “What we want to change is the reality that right now your emotions run you. And we want to get you to a place where you run your emotions so you can finally be free from that prison of feeling totally and completely out of control of yourself at times.”
