Amidst the chaos and the rush
Of caretaking for those we love,
It's easy to forget to hush
The thoughts that swirl and shove.
PAUSE…
But in the midst of all the noise
There lies a stillness deep within,
A place of calm that we can choose
To access when we need to begin.
PAUSE…
It starts with slowing down our breath
And feeling the beat of our heart,
As we let go of worry and stress
And allow ourselves to simply start.
PAUSE…
To tune into the present moment,
To feel the warmth of the sun's rays,
To see the beauty in each component
Of the world around us every day.
PAUSE…
For in this peace that we can find,
We'll find the strength we need to give,
To be the caretaker that's kind,
And help the ones we love to live.

So when the weight of the world feels heavy,
And the burden too much to bear,
Remember that peace is always ready,
To be found within, and shared with care.
