Yoga and the Spine with Kaya Mindlin

Arundhati Baitmangalkar
About this episode

What do you think of when we talk about the spine in yoga?

Probably anatomy, the spine in Asana, posture, age of the spine, backbends and more. But mostly we end up staying in the physical , western view of the spine in yoga.

But according to yogis, the spine is so much more than just the physical spine. There is the Sukshma (subtle ) spine that is expansive, and part of the subtle body. Having vast implications on the journey of a seeker.

In this episode, we dive into the spine and yoga with Kaya Mindlin, who walks us through mythological stories from the puranas to helping us understand the subtle spine in ways that will be new to many of you but also takes you beyond just the physical spine. We look at the elements of the subtle spine, how to work with this spine and more.
