Whitney English is a registered dietitian, nutritionist, certified personal trainer, and a mama of two little ones (ages 6 months and 2 years).
She's the creator of the media platform Whitney E. RD, where she serves up the scoop on food and fitness trends, and co-creator of Plant-Based Juniors, an online destination for all parents looking to get more plants on the plate.
Whitney earned her master’s degree in Nutrition, Healthspan, and Longevity and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Southern California’s Norris Cancer Center and Keck Medical Center as well as BreatheHealing Life Center. Her experience working in cancer research fueled her curiosity for using food and fitness to promote lasting health and helped shape her Predominantly Plant-Based philosophy.
Whitney also is the co-author of The Plant-Based Baby and Toddler coming out next Tuesday, May 18th! They’re offering some great pre-order bonuses so head over the link below for more info.
In this episode, Whitney debunks some of the top myths surrounding plant-based eating using her evidence-based research while sharing strategies on how to get your babies, toddlers and kids to eat a predominantly plant-based diet. She also talks about plant-based nutrition during pregnancy and shared insight into the 3-day water fast she completed (pre-pregnancy and breastfeeding) to help with cell regeneration (aka autophagy) and longevity.
Even if you’re an omnivore (or recovering paleo eater) like myself, her tips helped inspire me to find ways to get more veggies into my kids meals and have piqued my interest in the studies behind fasting and longevity.
So whether or not you are plant-based curious or wondering how to get your kids to eat more greens, listen in!
