Presence vs. Fixing with Guest Rivkie

MICHELLE KENNEY, M. ED
About this episode

Change is a choice. Sometimes it may be a difficult one and requires a lot of effort. It’s also not something that can always happen in a snap, but rather takes the form of a continuous series of choices we consciously make. These choices become the path my guest takes to be better and do better as a parent.

Joining me for this week’s episode is Rivkie, a mother of seven. It’s not easy to raise that many kids but as an ex-yeller, she made the choice to become a more empathetic and connected parent to her kids. She’ll share with us her personal journey, the solid steps she’s made to improve, and her words of encouragement and advice for fellow parents.

Don’t forget to tune into this episode! A part of parenthood is we’re not always going to get it right, but with enough love, we can strive to make things better.

Episode Highlights:

  • Rivkie’s journey reforming and healing as a parent
  • The positive changes which were seen in herself and in her kids
  • Sibling rivalry as a personal challenge and how she tackles it
  • Her advice for parents getting started on connective parenting
