Alex is a radio journalist and CEO of the podcast network Gimlet Media. For years, he was a Producer for This American Life, where his work won numerous awards. Blumberg also co-founded the This American Life/NPR co-production Planet Money. Recently, the interactive web documentary Planet Money Makes a T-shirt, which he executive produced, won an Emmy. Blumberg has also worked as a social worker, a caterer, and an 8th-grade science teacher.
