Cooking is a Muscle: Getting Culinary wi...

Rebecca Minkoff
About this episode

Nutrition runs in Mia Rigden’s blood. According to Mia, her grandmother, a dietician born in the 1930’s, was slathering coconut oil on her meals long before it was popular. Although Mia has always considered herself an adventurous eater, in her 20’s she found herself vacillating between enjoying the perks of restaurant PR work, and restricting herself to stringent juice cleanses.

Now focusing on integrative nutrition through her company, The Rasa Life, Mia works with clients to optimize their food choices in a way that works best for them. Eschewing the notion that diets need branding, Mia honors the understanding each person is unique, wellness does not necessarily equal thinness, and reminds us that we all have what it takes to be our own best chefs!
