Two businesses can sell essentially the same thing and charge completely different prices. The difference isn't always better ingredients, more deliverables, or ten times more expertise. Often, one business has simply created a much stronger reason for the customer to believe it's worth more.
Pricing starts long before someone reaches your proposal or pricing page. Your brand positioning, visual identity, website, messaging, reputation, customer experience, and the trust you've built are already shaping what people expect to pay. This matters even more for service based businesses because potential clients can't experience your work before hiring you. They have to decide what you're worth based on the signals you've given them.
If the quality of your work has outgrown the way your business presents itself, the problem might not be your price. People may simply be seeing a cheaper version of the business you've actually built.
