Why the Qualities They Loved Pushed Them Away
Dumped for being a good partner? Maybe you were too good, too forgiving, and drawn to your opposite. When disowned selves collide, the relationship breaks down. But the divine purpose of relationships is healthy integration. Here’s how that’s done:
We’re often drawn to partners who live out the parts of ourselves we’ve neglected. In relationship dynamics, there’s often an unconscious draw (and attraction) to a person who accentuates our blind spot. Rather than being ‘too flexible’ we may need to speak up and assert boundaries. The cure is to integrate the part of ourselves we’ve denied.
