In this solo episode, Taylor Church reflects on a season of reconnecting with longtime friends, traveling, and rediscovering gratitude for the relationships in his life. Those experiences lead into a deeper conversation about memory, heartbreak, healing, love, faith, self-worth, and the process of becoming who we want to be.
One of the episode’s most compelling ideas comes from Taylor reflecting on a past relationship that once caused tremendous pain. Although the relationship still exists in his memories, the acute pain has largely disappeared. He questions whether he actually misses the person anymore—or whether he misses the memory of how that person made him feel. He ultimately explores the idea that sometimes it isn’t the original event hurting us anymore; it’s the way we’ve continued to carry the memory of it.
