In this episode of the All Things Sustainable podcast we're talking to a leading voice in sustainable finance: Patrick Odier.
Patrick has a long history in Swiss finance and holds several leadership roles on Switzerland's sustainability stage — including as Chair of Building Bridges, the Geneva-based organization that convenes the financial community, public sector and international organizations to mobilize capital for sustainable outcomes. As Patrick describes it in the interview: "We realized that we needed to have all parties around the table."
The 7th annual Building Bridges Summit takes place Oct. 6-8, and Patrick gives us a sneak peek into what to expect when we take the podcast to Geneva to cover the event. The summit's title is "Investable Solutions to Global Challenges," and discussions will explore some of the biggest challenges that policymakers and investors face in 2026, from AI, energy security and infrastructure to nature, adaptation and resilience.
Patrick says the summit will focus on finding concrete solutions and driving system-level change. "In other words, move from the concept to the investment itself by those who are the best equipped, positioned and educated to do that," he tells us.
