Mohamed shares personal insights from his participation with the Neighborhood Resistance Committees during the Sudanese Revolution, he provides a historical backdrop to the Sudanese Civil War, and other moments in which Sudan has become legible to the western audiences, usually only as a site of upheaval or atrocity. It is a powerful conversation that touches on questions of political power, mass revolt, psychotherapy, racial regimes, cooptation, and revolutionary subjectivities.

Mohamed Khougali is a Sudanese socialist writer and psychological practitioner based in Germany, where he continues to organise and serves as president of Black Radicals. His work engages questions of liberation and collective struggle through the combined lenses of the Black radical tradition and psychological theory. Drawing on both intellectual and organisational practice, his research explores the relationship between race, class, colonialism, and subjectivity, with a particular focus on the psychological dimensions of political life and anti-colonial resistance.
