Today marks the third anniversary of Tufan Al Aqsa, the Palestinian resistance's historic jailbreak out of the Gaza concentration camp. Since October 7th, 2023 asymmetrical warfare has been waged across West Asia. The consensus of the international community has been that the Israeli occupation has committed genocide in Gaza. Many fronts have experienced intense warfare for years now. The Syrian Arab Republic has fallen, Yemen is in an existential struggle against Saudi Arabia, Lebanon has been under severe military siege, and Iran has defended itself against multiple wars of aggression and intense rounds of political assassinations.
For this episode we wanted to bring on a scholar who could talk more deeply about some of the inner workings of the Palestinian resistance factions, leading up to October 7th, 2023, discuss the importance of the Palestinian prisoner struggle to the resistance, and talk about how the resistance has assessed Tufan Al Aqsa in the years since the operation given the changes in political and military standing, and global consciousness that have come about in the wake of the flood.
Our guest for this episode is Mujamma Haraket. He is an academic based in the Middle East. And his areas of concentration include Palestinian muqawama history and political philosophy, with a particular emphasis on the Islamic Resistance Movement.
