Today's Practice: First Chakra (Muladhara) Meditation
In today's 10-minute meditation, we'll turn our attention to Muladhara, the root chakra — located at the base of the spine and associated with safety, stability, and belonging. We'll use breath and gentle visualization to sense the ground beneath you, literally and figuratively, and reconnect with the felt sense that you are supported.
This technique works because a regulated nervous system depends on a sense of safety — when the body doesn't feel grounded, the mind struggles to focus, trust, or act with clarity. By intentionally directing attention to sensations of contact, weight, and support, you help signal to your nervous system that it's safe to settle, which is the foundation all right action grows from.
📜 Wisdom for Today
"Meditate deeply, and old fears dissolve — leaving the mind free and unshakable."
— Paramahansa Yogananda
You can't force stability. But you can return, again and again, to the ground that's already holding you.
💛 Daily Message for Your Heart
Dear Friend,
You don't have to feel completely grounded today. You just have to notice where you're already supported — your breath, the floor beneath you, this present moment.
That noticing is the beginning of feeling safe again.
With love,
Mary
